Our office provides personal, friendly service in an empathetic and caring environment for all our patients. We don’t just treat symptoms. We treat the underlying causes of those symptoms.

Our goal is to provide you with optimal care and provide first-hand knowledge to help you better manage your diagnoses.

DR. BERNARD MICHLIN, MD, FACP

Dr. Michlin is board certified and has worked in the medical industry for over 40 years. He specializes in Internal Medicine and graduated from the College of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey with a Medical Doctorate degree. Dr. Michlin is a fellow member of the American College of Physicians, the American Board of Internal Medicine, the San Diego County Medical Society, the American Medical Association, and the California Medical Society.

Along with his association with such prominent groups, he is also the principal investigator of Wetlin Research, our in-office clinical trial corporation.

Dr. Michlin works closely with highly-skilled physician assistants and nurse practitioners. Our providers are trained in many different fields within the internal medicine specialty. Our providers work together to ensure that you recieve the highest quality of care.

Michelle Kabakibi, DNP

Michelle Kabakibi DNP, FNP-C, AGNP-C is a nationally board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C) and Adult/Gerontology Nurse practitioner (AGNP-C). Michelle received her Bachelor’s in the Science of nursing at San Diego State University and her Doctoral degree in Nursing Practice at the University of San Diego Hahn School of Nursing and Health Sciences. She is licensed in the state of California and has experience working in internal medicine, nursing homes care and management, and the acute care hospital setting.

Michelle is a member of the National Organization of Nurse Practitioner Faculties (NONPF), American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) and the Honor Society of Nursing Sigma Theta Tau International. She is a 6th year active member of The Junior league of San Diego with her current emphasis on Community recovery related to Transitional aged foster youth, COVID and human trafficking. She is a Clinical Associate Professor at the University of San Diego where she teaches across the family medicine primary care courses and is the lead faculty for the adult gerontology specialty course.

She is certified by the American Society of Addiction Medicine in the treatment of Opioid Use Disorder with buprenorphine in an office-based treatment setting. She also has a certification from The American Academy of Facial Esthetics for Botox and Dermal Fillers. She has a great interest in critical care nursing as well as the complexity and disease processes of older adults. Her passion includes education in awareness of cognitive and functional decline as well as health promotion for elder adults.

Amanda Moriarty, NP

Amanda Moriarty is a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner with professional experience as a Certified Emergency and Level 1 Trauma Nurse. Amanda earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Hawaii Pacific University in Honolulu, Hawaii, and then went on to earn her Masters of Science in Nursing as well as a post-master's certification in Social Work from the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, California. Amanda moved from Santa Barbara to San Diego in 2022 to begin practicing as a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner.

Cameron Chan is a nationally certified Physician’s Assistant who graduated from Stony Brook University with a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies.

LAURIE REEVES, PA-C, MM

Laurie Reeves is a nationally certified Physician’s Assistant who graduated from San Diego State University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology. Laurie went on to earn her Masters in Medical Science from Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.

Since graduating, Laurie has become a California licensed Physician’s Assistant, actively practicing since 2010 in San Diego, CA.

Mrs. Reeves is a member of the San Diego Society of Physician’s Assistants.

Christine Rieger, DNP

Christine Rieger FNP-BC, PMHNP-BC is dual nationality certified as a family nurse practitioner and psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner with the American Nurses Credentialing Center.  She has been a registered nurse for over a decade and previously worked at Sharp Grossmont ER as a nurse.  She served with the Peace Corps in 2016-2017 as visiting faculty in Malawi, a country located  in East Africa.  She continues to work with Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital in Blantyre, Malawi to develop continuing education content for practicing critical care nurses.  Christine has been a member of our team since 2017 and serves our patients in the office, acute care and skilled nursing settings.

INSURANCES WE ACCEPT

We accept most PPO plans, Sharp Community Medical Group, and Medicare/Medical Plans, and we offer a cash pay price for patients who do not have current coverage. Please contact our office regarding our fees.
